Work orders for your crew members are easily created based on the project scope that is already outlined. The steps below walk you through how to generate the work orders.
Work orders are essential for sharing information with the crew about what to expect on the project they're assigned to. If they are logging into Builder Prime, they will already have access to their work orders. If you are printing these or emailing these, then follow along to learn how to create a PDF that has the project details and notes.
Video Overview
Adding Notes
The customer-facing notes are available on the project work orders. These typically outline what the job entails as far as different phases or tasks. These notes are located within the main item or task group.
If you want to include any additional notes that are internal only and not customer facing, you will add these to the subtask of the project.
Generating the Work Order PDF
Within any project, navigate to the Scope tab. From here you will enter the Grid or Gantt view. The Grid view is always available, but the Gantt view is only available once the project has been added to the production calendar.
From there, you will see a blue button that says Export. If you can't see the word Export, look for the little cloud icon with an up arrow. Select To Scope PDF to download the project work orders.
User Access
If your team is set up to access Builder Prime as field users, they will already have access to the work orders from any project they've been assigned to. From their schedule, they can click the cog to view the work orders.
