Both Price Book and Line Item estimating allow for discounts. The guide below will show you where to create and manage available discounts and how to apply these discounts.

Line Item Discounts
If using task-based or line item estimating, the discount list is managed under Admin > Configure > Project Settings. Here you can create new discounts or mark discounts as inactive to remove them from the dropdown of available discounts within a project.
To apply a discount to a task-based or line item estimate, you'll navigate to the Pricing tab of a project. This will show you the active discounts that can be used on the project. If the discount does not apply to the project, you'll want to confirm that the line item is marked as discountable.
If there is a red X instead of a green checkmark under discountable, then the discount will not apply to that line item. To mark the line item as discountable, navigate to the Scope tab of the project, click into the line item, and toggle to the pricing tab within the popup. Once you change the Discountable toggle to Yes, you'll want to save the changes and head back to the pricing tab to confirm the discount reduced the price as expected.
Price Book Discounts
To create and manage Price Book discounts, navigate to Admin > Price Book > Discounts. This will show all of the created discounts that are available to attach to any category.
To enable the discount, switch to the Items view within Price Book and click into a category or subcategory.
If you don't see anywhere to add the discount, you probably clicked into the item instead of the category and will need to back out into the main view and choose the parent category the item is nested under. The discount section will look like the image below. You will see options to create a new discount or add an existing discount.
To apply a Price Book discount to a project, you will want to remain on the Scope tab after adding the items. Click the green button to add a discount and choose the discount from the dropdown list of available discounts. With Price Book, you are able to stack discounts so if there are multiple you want to add, simply click the green discount button to add another.
