Creating a To-do
Client Record
Within a client record, find the Client Activity widget and click New To-do. This will bring up a to-do task that is automatically linked with the client record.
The edit screen will allow you to associate the task with a project, assign it to a different employee, and add other details within the description field. You can also choose to add a time if the task has a specific time that it's due.
Project
Inside of a project, there's a tab along the top called To-dos. Naturally, this is where you go to create a project-specific to-do task. Clicking the green button to create a task will automatically link it to the project.
Similar to the client to-do task, you can add more specific details and assign this to another employee if needed.
Schedule > To-Do Tasks
Navigate to Schedule > To-do Tasks to manually create a to-do that is not assigned to a client or a project. Click the green button to create the task and fill out the information.
Viewing To-do Tasks
Dashboard
To-do tasks can be reviewed on the main dashboard within the My To-do Tasks for Today widget. This will show any tasks assigned to you as well as unassigned ones if your permissions allow. Tasks due in the future will not be visible on the dashboard, as this list is focused on what is due today or what is overdue.
Schedule > To-do Tasks
This section will show you all to-do tasks that permissions allow you to see. You can use the tabs along the top to view the tasks based on the various statuses they may be in.
Client Record
To-do tasks with a client assigned are logged within the client activity widget.
Project
To-do tasks with a project assigned can be viewed within the project under the To-do tab.
Completing To-do Tasks
To mark a to-do as complete, open it up and click the gray checkmark in the top left corner. This will turn the check mark clean within the task and within the to-do tables so everyone can easily see that the task has been completed.
Leaving Tasks Unassigned
When creating a to-do task you have the option to leave the task unassigned if it's a task that anyone can complete. Users who have permissions to see unassigned tasks can claim the task as their own and mark it done once they complete it. This is great for teams that share the same responsibilities, as these tasks can be automated based on where the client is at in their journey.
