Use custom fields to capture client and project data in Builder Prime. These fields can also be incorporated into custom reports.
How to Add a Custom Field in the Client Record
Navigate to Admin > Configure > Client Settings. The widget at the top is where you can create a custom field by clicking + New Custom Field.
Configure the new custom field using the available settings. Field type and label are required, while the remaining settings are optional. If you would like to include the data from the custom field within an email or SMS template, you can also assign an Email Variable Name within these settings. As you choose the settings, a preview of the custom field will be visible at the bottom of the settings screen.
Once the custom field is created, it will be available immediately within all client records. View any client and scroll to the bottom underneath the primary notes box to start using the new custom field.
How to Add a Custom Field in the Project Record
The steps to add a custom field within a project are essentially the same as above. To add custom project fields, navigate to Admin > Configure > Project Settings. The widget at the top will look similar to the client custom fields.
Once the project custom field is created, it will be immediately available to use within a project record on the Project Info page.
