Email and SMS Variables for Templates

There are many variables available to use when creating email templates in Builder Prime. These variables pull data from places such as the client record, calendars, and project details to ensure each email is customized to the client and sender

When creating the email or SMS templates, there are 4 different contexts to choose from. ProjectMeetingClientWork Order



Each context comes with a unique set of variables that can be used to customize communications with your internal team or with the customer. Read below to see what the available variables are and where the information is pulled from.

Class Variables

These are used when a Class is assigned to the client and/or project. The class information pulls from the information you’ve set up in Admin > Configure > Classes for separate locations. Use cases for class variables can range from including the correct contact information if the class is a different physical location or keeping commercial vs residential information separate within Builder Prime.

Employee Variables

Use employee variables to include direct contact information, the name of a project manager, or even a bio and picture of the assigned sales employee so your customer knows who to expect. It’s a great way to add a personal touch and help your clients feel comfortable.

Scheduling Variables

These are used to include date and time information for upcoming meetings or projects, so you customer knows when to expect you. With sales meetings, you can even set up automations to send meeting reminders.

Client Information Variables

Did you know you can also set up automated emails to send to your employees? Create templates that provide your sales team with everything they need to start a conversation and win more jobs. If Client Context is selected, there are also variables available to include Lead source and Lead setter information.

Project Variables

Include project information that can be sent to the project manager as well as the client about their upcoming scope of work.

Work Order Variables

If scheduling a quick service call or warranty repair using Work Orders, you can include the details in an email or SMS so everyone is well prepared for the task at hand.

Company Variables

There are two variables that are consistent and included with all Context types: your company name, and your company email signature. The signature is created when setting up your company.
